So my son wanted to join the school choir. I of course let him. He has to get up early on Tuesdays and Thursdays and ride his bike to school for practice. He finally had his first concert. When we got there and watched all the children file in so nervous but excited we noticed there were only a handful of boys. After being the proud parent and watching my son sing his heart out we decided to celebrate with a special dinner. We went to a local restaurant. We being us and the grandparents. At dinner I asked Blake where the other boys were? He told me that they had quit the choir. I didn’t press the issue. Well I knew the day was coming. Blake asked me if he could quit the choir. I said no of course. I told him he never has sign up for choir again but that when he signed up for it he made a commitment and he was going to stick to it. Does this make me a bad parent? Should your force your child to do something that they don’t want to? I never would have made him do it in the first place so why now? Well I decided that he was going to finish out his commitment to the choir and that is that.
So we went expecting to stand in line for hours and listen to screaming children all while waiting to have Abigail’s picture taken with Santa. The Lord answered our prayers! We got there and were the first people in line for the afternoon session with Santa. We waited twenty minutes for him to get there. All in all we were in and out in 30 minutes! Let’s just hope and pray that next year goes as smoothly!
I was supposed to be induced on Monday and she just couldn’t wait that long! After contracting through the night I decided to wake my husband and we headed to the hospital. After the epidural things couldn’t have gone better. We have a happy healthy baby girl!
Born at 3:30 p.m. 8 lbs. 12 oz. 20.3 inches
We are finally finished and I just have to say I love it! It looks like a page out of a catalog. It did take a while, we started on Mother’s day but I am happy to say that we got everything done before she got here. The pictures barely do the room justice but here they are.

We had a sonogram today to measure the baby and the fluid. When my Doctor measured my stomach she said that it was measuring four weeks ahead of schedule. So we just want to check and see what we are dealing with. I just love the tech at my doctor’s office. She is so good at what she does and very sweet. As she was looking at Abigail she turned the 3d view on so that we could see her face. She was so tickled by her. She said that her face was so cute and she just wanted to eat her cheeks!
She weighs 6lbs. 7oz. and there was 19cm. of fluid. Double the baby and double the fluid for 34 weeks. Now we just wait for her to get here and hope that she doesn’t get too much bigger.
Well the past weekend must have been just too exciting for Abigail because she decided to try and make her grand entrance. I went to the hospital on Monday and I was having contractions that were five minutes apart. The nurse gave me some medications to stop labor and I am at home on bedrest until I have her. It’s gonna be a long month! I’m not scheduled to have her until August 10th.
We have officially celebrated our first anniversary! Being 8 months pregnant we didn’t do anything to brag about just had some cake and watched a few fireworks. We didn’t save the top tier of our wedding cake so we had mini versions of our cakes made for our anniversary. They were as delicious as I thought they would be and they were so cute! Here’s to many years to come!
What a weekend! My mother and soon to be step father came down and brought my two nieces with them and Justin’s grandparents Mopsy and Pop pop came down. On Saturday we had a 3D/4D Sonogram done. Everyone above plus Justin’s parents and Blake went with us. 11 people total! We had the best time. Our darling little daughter was very active and really put on a show for everyone. She has the sweetest little round face!
Now at twenty weeks when I found out we were having a girl we knew that the last half of the pregnancy was going to drag by so slowly but now after seeing her in there it’s almost unbearable for the family. Not to mention Justin is an only child, this is the first grandchild for my Mother-in-law and Father-in-law and first great grandchild on their side. What am I in for? After watching her for almost an hour we were done. In tow with pictures and a dvd we left and headed out for a celebratory dinner. We went to Pappadeaux’s and I had a delicious steak and lobster dinner! I thought Abigail deserved it after being so cooperative:)
