I was supposed to be induced on Monday and she just couldn’t wait that long! After contracting through the night I decided to wake my husband and we headed to the hospital. After the epidural things couldn’t have gone better. We have a happy healthy baby girl! Abigail879 027 Born at 3:30 p.m. 8 lbs. 12 oz. 20.3 inches

We are finally finished and I just have to say I love it! It looks like a page out of a catalog. It did take a while, we started on Mother’s day but I am happy to say that we got everything done before she got here. The pictures barely do the room justice but here they are. We had a sonogram today to measure the baby and the fluid. When my Doctor measured my stomach she said that it was measuring four weeks ahead of schedule. So we just want to check and see what we are dealing with. I just love the tech at my doctor’s office. She is so good at what she does and very sweet. As she was looking at Abigail she turned the 3d view on so that we could see her face. She was so tickled by her. She said that her face was so cute and she just wanted to eat her cheeks!Abigail1Abigail2She weighs 6lbs. 7oz. and there was 19cm. of fluid. Double the baby and double the fluid for 34 weeks. Now we just wait for her to get here and hope that she doesn’t get too much bigger.

On Bedrest

Well the past weekend must have been just too exciting for Abigail because she decided to try and make her grand entrance. I went to the hospital on Monday and I was having contractions that were five minutes apart. The nurse gave me some medications to stop labor and I am at home on bedrest until I have her. It’s gonna be a long month! I’m not scheduled to have her until August 10th.

We have officially celebrated our first anniversary! Being 8 months pregnant we didn’t do anything to brag about just had some cake and watched a few fireworks. We didn’t save the top tier of our wedding cake so we had mini versions of our cakes made for our anniversary. They were as delicious as I thought they would be and they were so cute! Here’s to many years to come!cakes

What a weekend! My mother and soon to be step father came down and brought my two nieces with them and Justin’s grandparents Mopsy and Pop pop came down. On Saturday we had a 3D/4D Sonogram done. Everyone above plus Justin’s parents and Blake went with us. 11 people total! We had the best time. Our darling little daughter was very active and really put on a show for everyone. She has the sweetest little round face! Abigail 041Now at twenty weeks when I found out we were having a girl we knew that the last half of the pregnancy was going to drag by so slowly but now after seeing her in there it’s almost unbearable for the family. Not to mention Justin is an only child,  this is the first grandchild for my Mother-in-law and Father-in-law and first great grandchild on their side. What am I in for? After watching her for almost an hour we were done. In tow with pictures and a dvd we left and headed out for a celebratory dinner. We went to Pappadeaux’s and I had a delicious steak and lobster dinner! I thought Abigail deserved it after being so cooperative:)

Alone Time

Justin and Blake have gone to the ranch this weekend so I have been here all by myself. If only the dogs had gone with them! They are worse than children. I have not cooked or cleaned a thing all weekend. Didn’t get dressed all day. Took a two hour nap. Read a book. I ordered lasagna, my favorite dinner, two nights in a row. Slept in this morning. Watched a movie.  No child and no husband yelling at his video game. This weekend has been exactly what I needed.

So Justin said that we would work on the baby’s room last weekend and WE DID! It’s not finished yet but Rome wasn’t built in a day and my husband is not the easiest person to get out of the lazy boy so I will take what I can get. There is just some trim work left and then we can hang the border.  I ordered the baby’s furniture on Sunday so everything is coming together and I can’t wait to show the finished room off. We have family coming down for Memorial Day weekend so I am eager to have everything done by then. Wish me luck!!

Honey do’s

Since we spoke last we still have not finished unpacking. Thanks to my overgrown child of a husband. I can’t get him to stop playing his video game long enough to help me. I normally would just do this myself but since I am coming up on six months pregnant I can’t do any of the heavy lifting. If I haven’t ever mentioned before my husband is an only child so he tends to throw a fit if you ask him to do something. Here’s an example… I bought a set of curtains and a paper towel holder last weekend. I sat up until 12:30 waiting for him to hang this set of curtains over our back door window. He came in and asked me what I was doing and I told him I was waiting on him to hang the curtains up. He huffed and puffed the whole five minutes that it took to do it and then said that he would hang the paper towel holder on Sunday. Well it’s Friday and that paper towel holder is still sitting on my counter as I knew it would. Funny thing is if I said that I knew it wouldn’t get done because I know my husband he would say that I was wrong or make some excuse for not doing it. BUT he did become a gold cross on Call of Duty 4. The game that rules our life and keeps my husband planted in his lazy boy. I still have curtains that need to be put up in our bedroom too. For me that one is a big deal. I don’t like a lot of sun when I sleep so these curtains sitting in my room are a pain every weekend when the sun comes up. I know every man has their list of honey dos but how many of them actually do them? Well he did tell me that he was going to work on the baby’s room this weekend but we will see how that goes. To be continued…..

Of course only my child would have acute appendicitis on April Fool’s Day! I was on my way home from work and he called telling me he didn’t feel well. I got home and could hear him crying from the front door. I took him to the hospital and by 11:00 he was being prepped for surgery! Blake minus his appendix is doing well!
